Sun Kwak

LEAD PLANTER

Sun received his call to ministry during his time at UCSD, where he began to learn of his engraftment into the story of Jesus. He went on to continue his studies at Westminster Seminary California, where he received his M.Div. After serving as a college pastor in San Diego and as an assistant pastor in Philadelphia, he serves as the lead planting pastor of Redeemer, where he hopes to encourage a deep-rooted devotion to God’s Word and his gospel story. Sun thanks the Lord each day for his wife and truest partner in crime Judy. Together, they have set roots in Camarillo and brave daily adventures of parenting their four littles Kalen, Jones, Rowe, and Cohen. Sun has the eating routine of a hobbit and expediency of a vacuum cleaner, and thus, will likely never turn you down for quality conversations over a meal.
